Hi
I just downloaded the source files for this template, and the warm layer group is indeed there, it’s called header hot. You need to click the layer visibility to on in the layers palete. It also helps if you are using Photoshop.I feel another tutorial coming on……

Hi Bill
why should we have to do tutorials on such simple things? if ppl want to be web designers they gotta realise they need to know photoshop to some degree and it take all of two mins to open the file and open the contents etcsigh lazy ppl don’t deserve help
However
To the OP here’s the way to find it allsee the three attached images they clearly show how to select the folders and open them
screen one shows the contents of ‘header_narrow.psd’ when loaded into photoshop.
see the eye icon next on the folder? click on it and it selects or deselects the folder as active etc so you need to turn off the fresh folder by clicking on the eye symbol next to the fresh folder, that is the view in senecio 2 image.
to select the hot folder click the empty box next to the folder that will put the eye symbol ( which mean visible) in the box, then click on the triangle symbol which open the folder in the familiar tree structure, from there you open each folder using triangle and turn on or off each image within that by clicking on the eye symbol
I usually turn off all but the image i am actually working on this includes working on text as when the thing is off ( that is unselectable) you cannot by mistake overwrite or modify it etc
image three shows the hot folder selected and expanded
this is enough to get you started etc

Hi Shannon,
Well, I guess we don’t have to do it, but we all have to start someplace and if you’ve never used Photoshop before, you would never know about the layers. Also, having worked with JA templates for a while now, I know that not all .psd files are named the same as the resulting .jpg or .gif image which can cause a lot of confusion. He will learn. 😉This is just another good example that we need a tutorials section in the forum. 🙂

Yeah I know but a lot of ppl don’t want to learn themselves any more they expect others to show em everything, we did it buy buying books reading stuff and experimenting the new breed of ‘designer’ wont buy anything, do anything any more its help me I’m poor, I’m dumb when most are just lazy approach
Cheers

Don’t be sorry for not knowing far from it, love to assist new ppl, but my main point is newbies generally don’t want to learn just want it all done for them you on the other hand may learn a great deal from photoshop now you have this head start or you may do what you need to and never tough photoshop again?
if we could develop a 1 push button install that would install Joomla, template land YOUR OWN content and preferred menu and module positions added all necessary 3rd party extensions etc it’d sell like wildfire but even then some would say where’s he support, how do i change the header text hee he
Hope you get it all sorted
