    HI,

    I follow the instruction from this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showt…ble+responsive

    I access the website with an iPhone, and it turns out that the website is too large to view in safari. What’s more, IPhone does not allow to “zoom in” the website.

    Click image for larger version

    I want to view the website in mobile in this way

    Any suggestion?

    You can try opening header block of this template: templatesja_universityblockshead.php

    Look for this line of code:

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=3.0, user-scalable=yes"/>

    change it to:

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0 />

    and clean JAT3 cache.

    I tried to find the head.php from filezilla and I can find the head.php in :
    public_html/plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/blocks

    I added the code on the website, but it turns out that iphone 5s show desktop version website , and I cannot “zoom in “.

    It’s killing me. Actually , I just want the website show properly on all mobile devices and I do not need a responsive design.

    Thanks.

    The public_html/plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/blocks folder includes base files/folder of JAT3 framework. If your template overrides these base files, then your site will load template’s files prior to base files of T3 core. Hence, please try to change the file as I mentioned in the post above.

    Then clear JAT3 cache.

    Hi, Saguaros,

    Thanks for your reply. I tried everything you told me (clear jat3 cache after I made changes) and still have problems with “iPhone”.

    Iphone5s OK. Show desktop version , can zoom in to fit the screen
    Iphone 5/4s, Some user are ok with their safari , but some are not. (Show desktop version, cannot zoom in! They can only see part of the website.)

    I really want to fix this problem. Forgive me if I act rude… If there is some paid service, I am willing to pay for it, cause this problem is such a pain in the ass.

    Or do you have any other suggestions for me?

    Thanks

    Hi Alfred,

    I tried to access with ftp credential you sent me but without success:
    <blockquote>Status: Resolving address of http://ftp.kaushingpc.com
    Status: Connection attempt failed with “EAI_NONAME – Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known”.
    Error: Could not connect to server
    Status: Waiting to retry…
    Status: Delaying connection for 1 second due to previously failed connection attempt…</blockquote>

    Please check and send me correct one again.

    Best
