My website goes blank everytime I update joomla, sometimes doing minor updates!!

I saw the error is from Virtualmart component http://prntscr.com/fgvwhc
When i set the error report to the max. i suggest you update the Tcpdf plugin or if this component not in use you can remove it from the site.
This is a common issue with VM compatibility in latest Joomla as you can see Here
You can open the /component/com_tcpdf and try to rename it with a different name to fix it, So your site is live and later you can check the issue with Virtualmart support,
Maybe installing a new version of tcpdf fix the issue.

I removed Tcpdf completely and now it is working
my question
if I want to update template, do we just install new updated template?
