once i updated argo template from 1.0.6 -> 1.1.0 in joomla 2.5.27 – i noticed the css was stripped from the logo text. i use to be a title tag and now its just styled with a link tag.

Hi whenever you will update the template it will override the new css /php and all other template file with new updated file ,
if you added custom changes there you need to perform them again .
if you have a backup copy of your site you can check all css changes from those old files .

You can check the two template version difference from JA Extension manager .
when you are updating/rollback your template .

Always take a backup of your site before template update and any custom changes .
