Hi

I recently installed the JA Larix on my website however I noticed its running pretty slow

here is the link to the site so yu can see for yourself, any ideas why its slow ?

1. You’re not using JA Larix.
2. You’re not licensed – so you shouldn’t be using JA Larix.

Thats weird I have tried it ona few connections and it takes a good while start up and isn’t the quickest once its fully loaded either.

This is a fantastic template that I am going to use but am concerned about the speed.

It took 15 seconds to load for me with firefox and an 8meg connection.

Does seem slow. Strange cos its a bog standard installation. I hav other sites on the server and they load and run quickly

Are they Joomla sites though?

Yea the other sites are joomla sites. Although they are not using any Joomlart templates. Ive tried reinstalling a few times but no joy

I think it’s probably the amount of java scripts – 6 files -109 KB They normally slow the browser down a bit, you could try this to gzip them it might help a bit:
