I have tried to upgrade our website from 1.5 to 2.5 with SPUpgrade.
The upgrade seems to work all right, but as soon as I set JASocial as template the website will not open, and it gives error 500
How can I upgrade our website and keep our template?
Hope for help as this is really frustrating

Hi Bjørn,

The issue is caused by the error of Articles – Newsflash module which causes the JA Social template not to be loaded correctly on your website. I disabled this module, the template works fine now.

In this case, Articles – Newsflash module is a Joomla default module so that I suggest you to raise a question on http://forum.joomla.org/ to get better solution on this module error. You can see the error when enabling this module and set Development in Error reporting in Site >> Global configuration >> Server.

I deleted all newsflash modules and then i created them again and now it works. So maybe there is no reason to raise the problem with Joomla Forum
