Hello, I want to answer a question about a weight of javascript files on site. Is it dependent to the template ? It weighs over 800kb, even after the compression of js. files in template configuration.

Hello,

As you can probably see there are more JS files loaded because of the use of social networks etc and google analytics so unfortunately all that add JS code but the good thing is that JS that resides in independent files gets cached by any browser and doesn’t have to be reloaded again for a while.

I wanted to make my intranet site a little bit faster, at the moment these java script files are over 50% of start page. Do you think it’s dependent to these social network files or template ?

Hello,

I am sure that if you remove all the social networks and google analytics you will be able to reduce the amount of JS files quite a bit, also even though i don’t know about the project you are about to build but since you are talking about an intranet site then you can also reduce the amount of pictures and make it even lighter.
