I am having trouble understanding how to get the mega menu to display correctly. The menu items for the quickstart that I am trying to recreate show the menu items as Article Layout items with no article selected. How do I accomplish this, it wont let me save without selecting an article.
I tried to publish the login module to the mega menu as per the Mega Menu instructions and it wont display anything when I choose separator as my menu item type.
Some of my menu items wont display their children, I just see the main menu item.
Any ideas?

I think you could not save because you are choosing menu item type to article layout => Its obligatory in joomla default to select article to link. Thats how joomla works.

If you want to show mod login on mega menu, you have to set menu item type is Separator and in JA Extended params, make sure the module position is correct.
Try again, if errors persist, please share me your site url and backend account, i want to get a closer look at your problem.
