What are the long numbers in the alias for?
For instance, the sports category was aliased as sport1007746027.
Is there a downside to having sport as the alias? Is the number used to make it unique?
I usually enter the name and then let it auto-alias; is that a problem? What will happen if I use the same name elsewhere?

You can keep it like this for alias to auto-fill as it mainly helps to keep url tidy
