November 7, 2008 at 11:06 am #135160Well, I must admit that looks nice. Neat and clean design. As, all JA templates.
Unfortunately, it isn’t bringing something new or unseen.

November 7, 2008 at 11:32 am #278435There is no getting away from the fact that we have all seen this type of template before, but that won’t stop a load of customers enjoying it.
It does have a couple of new features…the tooltips looks a great way to say a little more without having to use that extra space.
Same old tedious argument about the same typography….been well over a year since this was updated/livened up!!Template look π

November 7, 2008 at 12:45 pm #278441I must say that I really like this template a lot. I agree that there is nothing new/unseen. But it has plenty of opportunities to modify it the way you like and to put all modules you want in there. It is a template that can be suitable for lots of different purposes/companies.
With kind regards,
PeterNovember 7, 2008 at 12:56 pm #278442Wow, Im gonna use this one!!
Would love to see more extended typography!

November 7, 2008 at 1:03 pm #278443At first I was “hmmm” then I let my mind wonder on it, and I can see alot of potential with this one. I may have a go at mocking something up next week. π
November 7, 2008 at 2:02 pm #278444I actually installed it this morning! I really like it and the pink is perfect for my cake site! I’m going to be adding some things to it but I think it’s a nice base to start with. I had been using Sanidine II but it just wasn’t feeling right for my site. This seems to load quicker and the quickstart installed great.

Good luck with the cake site…would be nce to see it in the members showcase just to see what members are going to do with this template π
November 7, 2008 at 3:47 pm #278452My site is cakespace.com but it’s just got the default quickstart info for the moment (although I did add CB this morning and will eventually add a forum). I should have something more there hopefully by later this weekend!
November 7, 2008 at 5:02 pm #278459Extremely disappointing, beside some new details like the plugin itβs just recycling previous templates.
One more thing, if a template is in beta stage it would be nice if that would be clearly stated in the template list.

November 7, 2008 at 5:53 pm #278462Hi,
Actually, if the template beautiful or not, it totally depends on one’s favourite. I like clean, neat and load quickly template. I love this template.

Can you elaborate on this? what would you like to see added?

You too please? What would you like too see? A specific theme? Specific features? If Joomlart where to ask you for your directions on their next template release what would you say?

November 7, 2008 at 6:18 pm #278466For this one I would say:
– It is nice
– Nothing like the “WOW” effect
– Such templates are needed as well
– Just don’t make the next 3 to look like this.1 user says Thank You to VisiGod for this useful post

November 8, 2008 at 12:11 am #278507I haven’t tried this template yet, but really beautiful is the design of the right modules (FAQ Categories, Photo Gallery, New Style 2009). The rest is good but nothing special, the dark grey header doesn’t fit with the rest in my eyes.

While the question wasn’t addressed to me I’ll take the opportunity to comment, my post count needs upping ;)after an 8 mth absence.
It’s a long post, get a drink, the popcorn and relax as you read π
Look I realise that bland simple templates are essential but there are so many free bland crisp templates out there that fulfil that need and are just as good as this one if we remove the tooltip feature. A major Joomla specialist host which( I cannot name or I’ll get pinged) offers about 50 of these joomla 1.5 bland themed by category templates free.
I feel that if you are a member here you want the more stylish, sophisticated innovate type of template not a run of the mill bland one.
Let me say I enjoy the effort and the wow factor in sandinine great concept with included forum cb etc that’s the type of template that is worth a membership. more themed integrated templates are needed , when JA goes to a 1 per mth regime we may see more of the colourful, integrated type of template reasoning that JA will have far more time to design and release etc
Category themed templates would be a nice step, I have many Christian organizations , churches etc clamoring for a cheap web presence , with modification Sandinine appears suited , but I’d like to see a specifically designed Church site with forum, shopping cart, cb etc with some of the artwork already done by JA,all the same colour etc just saves me a lot of work
The same for certain industries.
Bookstore with online catalogue, ordering etc : Gamers fan sites for the popular RPG’s and FPS perhaps all with the integrated stuff that is applicable to that genre.
Ja is great, puts out some terrific cutting edge stuff, but sometimes it’s a rushed rehash to meet the quota, JA is still the premier template maker, but Oh it could be so much more it does lead to frustration, just knowing the talent JA has on call when bland stuff appears
Cheers ShannonN
