Open to your site directory and open Language/Romanian (or whatever it is called) then open Romanian.mod_search.ini. See if there is anything obvious missing.

Has anyone else seen this problem? The search button tag text is missing! I have tested it both on my local host and live site. Using Safari, Firefox and MS Explore 6 and 7 both on Windows and Mac.

I transferred from Teline II to Rutile and running on Joomla 1.5.7 and recently upgraded to 1.5.8 both locally and on the live site – no change.

Yes – this has confused me too. The text for the search button is missing in Firefox 3.0.3 on a Mac.

Does one of the Joomlart team know of a fix for this? 🙂

OK first things first…

Go to Extensions>Module manager>Search.

In ‘Module Parameters‘ on the right, you should have…
Search Button as Image: NO
Button Text: Search
Check these settings and post here if it works or not.

Button position: Right
Search Button as Image: No
Button Text: Search

Oh ****… also you have to activate:

Search Button: YES

This works for Safari, but in Firefox, the word “search” is still missing from the button. Any hints?
