The QuickStart includes everything you need to get started. With one installation you get Joomla, the template you chose and the database with everything just like the demo. When done with the install you go in and modify the logo, articles included and pictures to what you want. It helps you understand how everything interacts in the Joomla administration area and how it affects your site.
