    Hello,

I have a website running on the old Teline 3.

Now that there is a newer version that IS NOT upgradable by the usual way, I would like to know the benefits or differences between the version I am on, and the new version.

How is it in terms of loading speed?

    Thank you.

T3v2 is new generation of T3 Framework for Joomla template. You can find more information here:

    http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/Overview#What_is_new_in_T3_Framework_2.0

Teline III is a template (don’t confuse with T3 – a template Framework). Teline III old version uses T3 old framework, while Teline III v2 uses T3v2 Framework. 2 version of the template have the same features. So if your website is running well with the current Teline III template, I suggest that you should not upgrade the template.

    Hello Khanh,

    Thank you for your response.

I believe I have not explained myself clearly.

I meant: What is the difference between Teline III version 1 and Teline III version 2?

Not the difference between the T3 Frameworks.

The only difference is the core library (the template framework) used in these 2 versions. As I mentioned in the above post, the features are the same.

    Hello again,

Would using the new Framework make my website any faster?

The new template system has been optomised in many ways. My own tests show a noticable increase in speed.

    That’s good to know.

    I will do the same.

    Thank you.
