He says, “This JA University template is not ready for the latest version of Joomla 3.2.3, please try to roll back to previous working version.”

I have Joomla 3.1.1 installed. What version of Joomla can I safely upgrade to without breaking my site.

The best version is working with JA University Template J3.2.0 and you can get it from here

Thank you for the update. However I have a fully working site on Joomla 3.1.1 which I guess can update to Joomla 3.2.x

You provided a complete new quickstart install. Since I have a fully working site Is there a Ja University template only update I can use with Joomla version 3.2.1 or 3.2.2 or 3.2.3 migrating from Joomla 3.1.1 and Ja University template version 1.0.5.

Which version of Ja University template and which version of Joomla do I need to have the most updated website?

I had a quick test and see JA University Template can work with Joomla 3.2.3. Anyway, you should wait for the next release of JA University as it will be tested thoroughly with this new Joomla version.
