March 23, 2009 at 6:47 pm #297495It seems you uninstalled the blocklist component from your site after installing it from http://www.joomla-addons.org/. Did you uninstall the related plugin also? I think you need to uninstall that too, or atleast unpublish it.
look at these two threads. May be these will help

Try unpublishing the plugin / mambot if there was one. As per my feelings, such component would need a plugin too to function.

As soon as I go to http://www.mysite.com/administrator, when I enter username and password, it automatically redirect me to the home page.
It does not allow me to login. So I had to through the cpanel to delete the files.
it is running on Joomla 1.0.x.

March 24, 2009 at 5:51 pm #297713I have follewed your instructions and removed the plugin. But if I try to log to the Admin panel, it does not allow me.
I type mafraternite.com/administrator and enter the login details. Then it redirects me to mafraternite.com (Front Page).
I don’t know why.

March 24, 2009 at 6:05 pm #297715I had suggested uninstalling or unpublishing the associated plugin? Read above replies. Even thats what is stated in the two links given by me in my first reply too. Those links are from the blocklist component forum, i suggest posting the problem there also.
How did you remove the plugin?

March 25, 2009 at 1:29 pm #297915I logged into my cpanel and deleted the files from there. The error message is gone certainly.
But, the problem I am facing now is I cannot log into my Admin back end (http://www.mysite.com/administrator). When I enter my username and password, I get redirected to my front page automatically.
That is the problem I am facing.

Well you should also ask in the component forum at http://forum.joomla-addons.org/ . They also offer support (not sure if support is charged).
Quote from Joomla-addon.org support page :

* Did you somehow mess up your installation? We can help..
* Don’t you know how to install Joomla!? We can help..

Deleting files directly using ftp is not a recommended way of solving problems.

March 25, 2009 at 3:27 pm #297965I have checked those links and will post a query to Joomla Forum.
I understand deleting files through cpanel is might not be safe. But as I could not log into the Admin panel, that was my only backdoor. Doing that has removed the error message.
And, the fact that I could not log into the admin backend was, I believe NOT due to the fact I have deleted the Block list files.
