    Hello,

    I have seen some features from JA EDENITE. on the right position, there is a menu called “Our Staff”.

    I am using Joomla 1.5.3 at present and Teline 2 as template. I would like to have that feature from EDENITE on my Teline 2.

    is that an easy thing to do? How can I do that please?

    I would be really nice to have that feature, even if it’s just like JA AVIAN 2 with “About Author”

    Thanks for helping me.

    It is a custom html module which contains this code here:

    <div class="ja-innerdiv clearfix">
    <img src="images/stories/demo/sam-4.jpg" alt="Sample image" align="left" />
    <strong>T.Schlossnagle</strong><br />
    Director<br />
    dr@ydomain.com
    </div>

    <div class="ja-innerdiv clearfix">
    <img src="images/stories/demo/sam-2.jpg" alt="Sample image" align="left" />
    <strong>Marry</strong><br />
    Managing Director<br />
    mg@ydomain.com
    </div>

    <div class="ja-innerdiv clearfix">
    <img src="images/stories/demo/sam-3.jpg" alt="Sample image" align="left" />
    <strong>Chris Shiflett</strong><br />
    Chief Executive Officer
    </div>

    <div class="ja-innerdiv clearfix">
    <img src="images/stories/demo/sam-1.jpg" alt="Sample image" align="left" />
    <strong>Quynh Le</strong><br />
    Sales manager<br />
    sl@ydomain.com
    </div>

    <div class="ja-innerdiv clearfix">
    <img src="images/stories/demo/sam-5.jpg" alt="Sample image" align="left" />
    <strong>J.Nguyen</strong><br />
    Support manager<br />
    sd@ydomain.com
    </div>

    So in basic you can copy this code and create a custom html code(turn of the WYSIWYG editor first), and paste the code above in the custom filed. But remember to change text and image links to your own first.

    Thanks for your kwik reply Menalto,

    I wanted to follow these instructions here but when I went to create the the new module, I got this error message:
    XML Parsing Error at 41:81. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)

    Would you know what bthis is related to, by chance? thanks.

    I am using joomla 1.5.3.

    Hmmmmm, this error. If im correct its a bug in the xml description of the module(this would be original joomla module).
    If you go to your joomla installation/modules/mod_custom/mod_custom.xml and open that file. will it look like this:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <install type="module" version="1.0.0">
    <name>Custom HTML</name>
    <author>Joomla! Project</author>

    <version>1.5.0</version>
    <description>DESCMODCUSTOM</description>
    <params>
    <param name="moduleclass_sfx" type="text" default="" label="Module Class Suffix" description="PARAMMODULECLASSSUFFIX" />
    </params>
    </install>

    Are you using a quick start package or how is that? Any other problems?

    Yes, I am using quickstart. and by the way, I was trying to upload some features yesterday but it kept telling me that the modules I wanted to upload were made for an older version (1.0.x) and it suggested to enable System – Legacy . whicx I did. is that related to this somehow?

    I will look for the code you have mentoned above and get back to u anyway.

    Thanks

    Try to turn off legacy mode.
    Which modules was it you gonna install btw?

    for the one yesterday, I don’t remember. I installed several components and modules.

    But for the one today, I was trying to create the custom html module when I got that error message.

    I disabled System Legacy but still having the same error message: XML Parsing Error at 41:81. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)

    Just curious Menalto,

    A related issue.

    In the Joomla 1.0x-JA Teline II, there is an “Contact us” link at the bottom (or I think “Top” positon placed near the Bottom, how odd!)

    but I cannot find the module in the modules section.

    Also, in the Joomla 1.5x-JA Teline II, there is a “Contact us” link at the bottom (or I think “Top” positon placed near the Bottom)

    was this a deliberate difference? Or just an afterthought or unintentional omission?

    Instead of a hardwire script, you suggested above is it not possible to create, just a simple page of the “About the Company”, and then create an “About us” section to be included as link in the Top Menu or another, and then link the URL of the “About the Company” and “Contact Us” plus some other stuff in the “About Us” section?

    This will be the “top menu” that holds that link i would guess. And you can link any kinda content to it, either its a component or a article page you have made with your info it. I did not see the Contact us in the JA demo?
    Btw, your “Teline Playground” is almost done.

    I have looked at the code.

    Here is how it is, just as you have mentioned above.
    mod_custom.xml
    XML document text
