Right everyone lets all get our creative heads on. As the title suggests, what other vertical sectors could this extension be used for. This could be great for Joomlart and therefore great for us the community.

My idea is that the fundamental core extension could be used for different sectors with a bit of tweaking in the following:
    – Property rental market (The stakeholders are landlords, letting agents and tenants. Landlords and letting agents sign-up again using the credit system to post rental properties and tenants are the equivalent of the job seekers).

I think there’s a lot of potential with this extension (once the major bugs are ironed out). Post your ideas below……”show me some creativity!” – (and what movie is that quote from…no googling it!)

If we are too greedy and push the component in a more “open & flexible” way to suit other vertical sectors then we will be hard to keep the label “Enterprise” for this component.

We may have more customer for other vertical sector but I believe the real existing “job board” owners won’t be happy. If we want to go over other sectors, we can do that when our team grow bigger and we will start a totally new component from the ground

I understand Hung but an idea for the future. I think there are core elements of the JA job board that could work with the property market

We’ve customized it to work as a Project/Bidding solution for a customer. The Project is the “employer” and the Bidder is the “applicant”. The project lists a project and the person/company wishing to do the jobs “applies for it”. The project owner can then choose who they want to grant the project to.

A project owner buys a project posting plan. We’ve removed the paypal option and replaced it with a “banktransfer” notice module from, guess what, from Oscommerce. The person simply selects to buy credits and chooses “banktransfer”. The page then shows the banking details. The buyer takes note of it. The click process and the page returns to the customer accounting details. ITs then a manual credit transfer process.

Works well. A lot of configuration. We’ve also made a list of the modifications.
