March 25, 2009 at 7:13 pm #298025There are a bunch of them…too numerous to mention here.
But JA_Quartz would be the latest template with it.
Have fun.

John.</blockquote>Would be the last with it, it has no Highslide, the latest one was JA Uvite. You can recognize Highslide on the “magnify” hover when going over pictures or when the login pop up is white and has rounded edges…

Ja Quartz does have mod_jahighslide published on right position, with module name gallery.
it can be viewed here http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_quartz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=28 Right side Top module.

March 25, 2009 at 11:21 pm #298077Depends what kind of website you want to create. For example, if you have a lot of content, the Teline II has a default highslide too. If you want to buy the stand alone JA Highslide, then you can add it in any template you want.

March 26, 2009 at 12:58 am #298086It is always the same JA Highslide…In any package is the JA Highslide Module and Plugin, same as when you purchase this JAEC membership, it makes absolutely no difference.

March 26, 2009 at 2:17 am #298098One difference is that it is already a stand alone extension. I am not sure that you can just add a directory into the modules directory, and it is automatically recognized by the Modules panel.
I wonder if it could become a recognizable unique module by simply renaming it, then zip it and install it via the “Install – Uninstall” Has anyone tried somthing like this?
I tried that with the “Hot Topic” module. [ I know how to clcone.] I wanted to see if I can have another Hot Topic module, so that I can modify the script to recognize different sets of CSS tags. Because, no mater how I tried to chnage the mod suffix, the standard clone of the Hot Topic does not follow what I wanted it to do.
By the way, I am not sure that the standalone JAEC templates are the same as the one used in templates. O have not tried the Highslide standalone extension included in the JAEC. If it is as crude as the one included in the Teline II, it does nothing but slow your site — or just whistles and bells sites with not much to offer.
Not all the Extensions module are the same as the counterpart already in templates. Some have great potentials. For example, the JA News Component is different from the JA News module. Similarly, the JA Tabs in the JAEC has more features than the JA tabs in the Teline II or other templates — if only it is working, ro there is a good manual that explains how it works,
GRRRRR! I want to scream sometimes when I get so frustrated trying these products.
Anyone who has made the JA Tabs to work, any tips would be appreciated. That is also true with the JA News Component.
Joomlart prepares all these staff, and just drop the ball. MiCCAS gave the excuse in response to a disgruntled user that the group that developed them were only given 3 months to do finish them. Why bring it out if it is not ready? And, even try to sell them?

jimmer,
If you can make any of the extensions work, please give as a shout. They do have great potentials, especially of Joomlart would give us better manuals on them.

March 26, 2009 at 8:06 pm #298314Guys, sorry, I must say it clearer:
1. I work with JA Highslide on websites that had none and it works. (Used module and plugin from any template package that includes those)
2. When you see on JA template x a JA HS iplementation 1 and on site y an implementation 2, those differences are made in using the various purposes and options the one and only JA Highslide brings and require you to code those with tags etc..
3, READ THE DOCS, here is the link: (This link to the docs is posted in any Template Tutorial post where JA Highslide is used. NOW LISTEN, not all people use the quickstarts, so the extension is also included in the package, so you can install it on this or any other template, can make it look like in this demo or how you want it.)JA Trona Userguide: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-trona-userguide/
JA Highslide Docs: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=96There is only one JA Highslide.

jimmer,
Good luck with the bid.
Do you understand php scripting and can you write them? In response more recently to one of my posts last year, one guy was interested with my question about more dynamic, navigational and educational slideshows and multimedia..
Joomlart’s HighSlide is rudimentary.
What he did was transform the highslide so that it can extract imagesdynamically from another site , and clicking the image sends you to the pertinent article in their other site — also own by their company.
If it can be done with another site, it is possible to do it within a site, for example by selecting specific categories. I encourage you to look at his scripts.
The idea behind what he was trying to accomplish is similar to the Hot Topic.module, a true navigational and dynamic module; the difference with the HighSlide, he was using ithe “enlarging images” when you click on one, to entice visitor go deeper into your site.. What I found useful in his attempts is that it made the HighSlide dynamic and not static as the current format of the module currently provided by Joomlart.
There is another module, the JA Slider that uses sliding images, again clickable and transports you to other articles within the site. While this presentation does not have the features of the hottopic or the highslide, because the highslide modules slides images, what you can present is not limited by the width of your site.
These are the kinds of navigational and dynamic modules that I find useful as Homepage multimedia modules rather than simple presentation of pretty images that enlarges or do slide show — unless you are already in a specific page.
