Can’t figure out using the social template how to hide the component or content area only on the front page…

    1) Go to admin >> template parameters >> profiles and add in new profile::

    http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/Guides#Profiles

    2) Now, You can set in Hide Main content block to yes in global settings for specific profile

    3) Add in home menu item for specific profile in Profile Override Settings

I spoke too soon – I tried that – duplicated my default profile, hid the content block on the cloned profile, assigned it to the home page – but it’s still there.

I can see content area to be not shown on frontpage and modules in content-mass-top position to be seen

Uh, no – there is still a white box at the bottom of the modules that represents the content area that’s being displayed. If you select to hide the content area it disappears, but for every page, I can’t get the profile to work for just the front page.

Do you not see the white content area box?

Sorry but I have checked it again and not able to see content area on homepage.

As seen, You have selected profile with hide option for frontpage, it seems to be working fine as I am able to see management menu item with article

I don’t guess I understand what you’re not seeing. Are you going here:

and do you not see the white box below “big blogs”? This is the empty content area that should not be shown.
