There’s a dropline folder in ja-menus which contains the css and other necessary dropline menu files. The dropline menu is also coded into the php file. However, it’s not listed as a menu option in the template variables php file and if you try to enter dropline as an option, you get a restricted access error.

How can I use the dropline menu included with this template?

    Thanks.

If using J 1.5 click template manager then click the template name then select your menu style in the paramaters.
Generally if using J 1.0 you would set the menu in the template_css.css

Thanks instantinlaw. Let me see if I can be a little clearer. BTW, I’m using J1.0.15.

Dropline is not an option in the template variables file. Your options are moo, css and split.

Looking around the files, everything else needed to run the dropline menu (php and css files) appears to be there. I thought JA might have simply omitted dropline as an option in the template variables file, but when you type it in as an option the whole template bombs out.

Long story short, the dropline menu won’t work in Teline II and I’d like to figure out why.

    That’s weird teetide,
I have installed the teline II quickstart and also used the dropline menu option without any trouble.
Have you tried searching the forum for an answer?
Maybe the template got corrupted upon ftp’ing. Try reinstalling the template to see if that fixes it.
Also I am not 100% sure on this but I seem to remember something about GD2 having to be installed on the server for this to work.
    But that’s just a guess.
