March 18, 2009 at 2:36 am #139278Ok so I thought I’d do a little bragging here.
My SEO score on http://www.domaintools.com/ is 94 & that is without even trying.
I need to add some image width and height dimensions and reduce my meta keywords to up my score. Here is the link to my score: http://whois.domaintools.com/oldphotographic.com 😎
To find your score click the first link and do a whois for your domain.

March 18, 2009 at 2:40 am #296563the SEO Score tool from domaintools is just SEO score based on SEO Text Browser checks. At the end of the day, your ranking on search engines are based on much more than this

March 18, 2009 at 3:08 am #296566I am afraid I have to agree with jsliao on this one. I tried the gizmo and it showed a 89 SEO score. Yet I know we have exceptional rankings in the search engines. Almost always in the top 10 for very vague search keywords. There is much more to search engine rankings than an SEO score. Especially where Google is concerned.

Hey ShannoN,
Nice to see you!
I didn’t think you wanted to talk to me after the “incedent”, but I’m glad you don’t appear to be mad. I still have the logo I designed though if you want it.
Anyway,
Yeah I did learn alot from you and I am applying it daily. Thanks 🙂
For you guys trying to rain on my parade… 😉
I am well aware about google page rank and the like. The SEO score tells you how Google and other robots read your site. If you have a high SEO score it lets you know you are on the right track. High SEO score = higher page rankings (eventually-hopefully).
This site has only been live for a couple of months and I’ve been busy adding content. I expect to have a page rank of 4 within a few months. I’ve done it before (with ShannoN’s help) and I’ll do it again.
So, you might want to sign up to advertise on my site now while the rates are cheap :pinstantinlaw Friendinstantinlaw

March 18, 2009 at 4:09 am #296582Oh, BTW…
On my old site I was #1 on google, msn, and yahoo for the keyword “vintage photography”. I was also on page 1 for a couple other keywords.instantinlaw Friendinstantinlaw

March 18, 2009 at 4:37 am #296589Just did a quick search for “vintage photography” I come up #2 on the second page on yahoo. 11 – 20 of 78,000,000 (gonna be #1 soon). I know, yahoo is easy but google will be next (nowhere to be found on google yet) 😉

March 18, 2009 at 4:55 am #296594Good job!
I did a quick search out of curiosity. For a simple uss arizona search we came up #3 on Google and Yahoo right below the Park Service and Wikipedia and #2 in MSN right below the Park Service but above Wikipedia. I don’t ever expect to see #1 for that search. For the popular key words uss arizona survivors and uss arizona survivor stories, we are #1 in Google, Yahoo, and MSN. For the ever popular Pearl Harbor Casualty List we are #5 in Google, #7 in Yahoo, and #3 in MSN. I am happy with these results always on page 1 but can’t be #1 for every search.

March 18, 2009 at 5:01 am #296595All very interesting. I tried the site that instantinlaw posted above and got a ’92’ rating. Can’t say as that means much to me but I guess it’s not too bad.
I tried a Google on ‘Bulgaria Property Magazine’ as this is what I want to be found most on and was first in the results. I tried the same in Yahoo and came first and also first on MSN. So, I’m fairly content with that!

Great results! It’s always nice to be first with the keywords you most desire to be found with!

Hey questbg, Any results for more generic keywords like property magazine?

Wouldn’t that be almost too generic? There’s an awful lot of property out there in this big world.
Just to be found first for a whole country (Bulgaria) is pretty darn good if you ask me.
