    When I enable Search Engine Friendly URL’s (SEF) from Global Configuration / SEO Settings, search on my site does not works anymore. I get follwing error;

    Page not found
    The page you are looking for might have been removed,
    had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

    URL at that moment;
    http://www.onzedieren.nl/component/search/%252F#content

    When I disable SEF then serach works fine. :((
    URL at that moment is;
    http://www.onzedieren.nl/index.php?searchword=test&ordering=&searchphrase=all&option=com_search

    is this the full url that leads to the page you cannot view?

    http://www.onzedieren.nl/component/search/252F-content
    compare with the sef url
    http://www.onzedieren.nl/component/search/%252F#content

    notice the % sign and the # ? the % sign usually means there is a space in the url and the # just maybe a typo for -?

    If you are using a non english language it may account for the different characters I see
    please check the article name in the secondary title field in the article panel ( alias) for spaces, generally in the english sef if there is a space the sef replaces it with a ” – ” check this article alias and have no spaces between words, you manually insert a “-” between words to test

    and if it works great if not we can look elsewhere

    After sending the post I was busy to find out the problem.

    I found that the problem is resolved when I select ___ Add suffix to URLs to YES

    So in other words;

    when SEF is Yes and Add suffix to URLs is No _________ then I get error to use search

    When SEF is Yes and Add suffix to URLs is Yes _________ All is OK 🙂

    Thanks to everybody for the effort to help me.
