Thinking that this was a problem with our site only we:

-set up a brand-new joomla 1.0.12 site with a fresh download of bellatrix
-went to the joomlart template demo site and tested bellatrix

    The results were the same.

    What’s going on?

Is ja bellatrix a faulty template with built-in non-valid code?

    Hi Sandy
Validation is not the be all and end all 🙂 don’t stress to much about it, with tags deprecated all the time simple things like a third party addin can often invalidate the whole site with just one ref to an older tag some plugins use for backward compatibility.

While css based sites have done heaps to prevent tag based errors sometimes it’s nearly impossible to avoid, I tend to live with it and my clients are more interested in their site appearing correctly in all major browsers than a button saying wow this site validates 🙂

Off course if there are 3000 errors that’s a different thing

Hope this puts your mind at ease

    Sandy,
Like ShannonN said, don’t stress too much about it. The reason is because of transmenu using opacity properties which are not supported yet (although they will be for CSS3)
