January 17, 2011 at 2:45 pm #372249I don’t think it the wait should be too long. From what I’ve been told, most components are ready to go – NewsPro is still in testing. That leaves some tweaks in the template. From my own unofficial tests with IV and J1.6, the only sticking point to getting the template working on 1.6 is NewsPro. (Working well, that is another issue.)

January 17, 2011 at 5:00 pm #372260Hi roman_g,
As said by ithacaindy above, Teline IV for Joomla 1.6 will be out soon, however, there is no date for its release and it would be very difficult to put forward any date for any template / product release. It would be all mentioned on the blog and announced via twitter too. Please have patience…
Regards
Arvind

Dear Arvind
Thank you for your reply.
But please say to me. Do you expect that the process of migration will take some weeks or some monthes ?

January 18, 2011 at 9:21 am #372394Hi,
It would be difficult to tag the schedule to the release dates of individual templates for J 1.6.
For now, 4 templates have been released already.
Please have patience, JA is working overtime on this and with release of J 1.6 stable, its rolling out time.

January 18, 2011 at 9:33 am #372397This all might be good and true but the fact i must agree with these people here stands: Teline series is the most anticipated and popular of JA releases and would have expected that it would be one of the first templates that would have migrated to J!1.6.
This not being so just looks strange.Phill ModeratorPhill

January 18, 2011 at 9:47 am #372401Strange? The problem is that Teline is a very complex template indeed. It makes heavy use of numerous extensions which all have to be thoroughly tested before release. JA aim to have as few bugs as humanely possible upon release. Would you rather wait a little longer or have it now and crash at every attemt to use it?
Please be patient, the dust has barely settled on the release of Joomla 1.6. The extension base is rapidly growing but the JED is hardly full of J1.6 extensions and it will probably be some minths before everything you would like is available there.

January 18, 2011 at 10:31 am #372418Yeah, and i am not saying anything against all that, and i know the work involved. All i am saying is that popular and demanded templates could usually be made a priority. We will wait of course.

January 19, 2011 at 7:04 pm #372716An announcement (Sort of) has been made in another post.
<blockquote>
Hi,Let me clarify the second problem first, It was an typo mistake and instead of weekly release it got out as daily release, extremely sorry for the mistake.
The schedule for release is broadly few templates (3-4) templates per week. It is very difficult to get the exact names / chronological order of release as teams are working on all of them.
For now, i can tell you that this weekend release will comprise of JA Ores, JA Cloris and JA Teline IV…. based on many requests in forum, Hung got the team to work on Teline IV release, though it would not have any update for K2 or flexicontent and all would be marked as beta as with the earlier 4 template release.
Arvind </blockquote>
Remember, some of the third party components such as K2 are not yet available so these template releases will be marked as Beta. There is nothing JA can do to speed up the release of third party components as I am sure you can appreciate.

I remeber that JA Teline III does NOT include the component K2.
I propose to build the JA Teline III under Joomla 1.6. like a first step.Best regards

January 19, 2011 at 8:05 pm #372733This thread is asking about T4. Even with T4 you do not need to use K2 or Flexcontent. As T4 has been the most requested I am sure the release will be much appreciated.

January 20, 2011 at 8:03 am #372837I think there are tons of users of all teline versions asking for this and it has been answered very politely that we have to be patient. I have been bussy moving all my content and trying to get modules updated in the meantime. Just see yourself how much work that takes and then ask yourself how much time has to be put into recoding of a template with thousands of lines of code.
It is not easy kr fast thing to do. So lets wait for JA devs to do their job and we will eventually get what we all want.
I have to admit that it would help in planning if we knew aproximate date but they cant give us that so lets just hope its soon.
