April 27, 2010 at 7:52 pm #150688Got a weird issue here and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on it…
Website is currently on a Windows IIS6 Server… outside of the domain/ network it pulls up fine.. any ideas why formatting and scripts might be blocked?

April 27, 2010 at 8:47 pm #341837As you say it views fine for me. It appears you have some security settings on your server and the only real way you are going to discover exactly what is to check your server logs. I’m guessing you are on your own internal server? Either way you will need to speak to your host or whoever setup your server to discover what is going on. For the rest of the world your Joomla install is fine.

April 28, 2010 at 12:54 pm #341913Thanks… in my instance I work for the City and County where I live. We have 2 different networks/ domains [ city and county ]…. on the city network is where the issue lies…something on the server- ie filter strips the formatting on the website… or something needs to be updated…either way this is like looking for a needle in a haystack…
one of the errors i am getting:
Message: Object doesn’t support this property or method
Line: 59
Char: 102
Code: 0
URI: http://www.lagrange-ga.org/media/system/js/mootools.js…looks like a javascript/ mootools issue — do i need to update and installed extension on the server?
thanks

April 28, 2010 at 1:46 pm #341917After some Googling it sounds like one of the issue’s might be related to the version of Mootools that I was running within Joomla 1.5.14; so, I am upgrading to 1.5.15 where Mootools has been upgraded to 1.2…
…maybe at the very list it will eliminate 1 of the errors I am getting..
Any other idea’s? what specifically should i be looking for on the server?
Thanks

April 28, 2010 at 2:10 pm #341918I just noticed there was another upgrade to 1.5.17; so, I did that upgrade as well…
I had someone try and pull the website up from the City Network – this time the page did pull up and no formatting was stripped; but, they told me none of the tabs are working and we’ve got a new set or errors from Explorer…
Any Ideas on where I need to look?

April 28, 2010 at 3:00 pm #341929I just found out after I updated to Joomla 1.5.17 that the page pulls up fine when your on the City Network— was told it pulled up very quick… the tabs didn’t work on the page in question…
From looking at my errors they were Javascript based… I’ve been running vesion 1.2 of the Teline III package as well… I just downloaded Teline III version 4… I should be ok to manually update the Javascript file’s right?

April 28, 2010 at 5:21 pm #341939Take a look at the template update tool – http://update.joomlart.com/
I doubt it will sort out your server issues however and a server setup issue is not something we can really help you with.

should i manually overwrite the javascript file’s from the error log? i compared the files from the new quickstart telline 3 down load with my old version and they looked different…

April 28, 2010 at 5:59 pm #341945You can try but backup first. You’ll still need to check your server error logs and maybe find someone who has knowledge of your server setup to help.
