There are lorts of bugs with JA Social and Jomsocial working together. The facebook connect does not work and the ja social template within jomsocial does not work properly.

I subscribed to joomlart for this template and find I have purchased something that although advertised as compatible it is not.

A little bit dissapointed.:((

– Which version of JomSocial you are using ?
– Facebook Connect at JomSocial side, as far i remember still have some bug ( or you would try w/ latest 2.4.2 )
– JoomlArt until as far i known i have not yet news from dev about upgrade w/ JomSocial 2.4.x
– And finally may know what’s wrong w/ your site.

I am using jomsocial 2.2.4. Iwould like the facebook connect to work and the template within jomsocial to look the same as the demo site but it will not.

JomSocial 2.2.4 should work fine with JoomlArt JomSocial.
If i’m not wrong you have trouble with <blockquote>”The system was not able to detect your facebook login. Please try again.”</blockquote>

If you visit my web site at http://www.extras.tv and go to the social netowrk you will see the log in with facebook button, it just does not connect, it does nothing.

Just to clarify, sometimes it will work just once and then not at all after that.

I have checked your site and everything working fine. Also checked into js included on site. Everything fine.
So i think your issue should consider as JomSocial issue .

Just so everyone knows, if you were running JomSocial 2.2 than your Facebook Connect should not be working unless you update to 2.4 OR use the patch released by JomSocial. However after testing the patch on my 2.2 it crashed my website(white screen of death with only the error message displayed), I forget the error, but I updated to 2.4 and now I am not compatible with JA Social :((…..

When I set the JomSocial template to ja social all my images enlarge x4 and the comments on wall activity overlaps the original content share. I didn’t mess around much after seeing that and reverted back to the default…

Please check my patch in JA forum. I have modified a bit.
Actually patch from JomSocial by Fuqaha have a bit missed. That’s why you have blank page.
