January 23, 2011 at 8:37 pm #159184It’s like a game of hide and seek all the time.
I changed the logo of the Teline IV (in the SandBox installations for the Joomla 1.5, as well as the Joomla 1.6) versions.
However, for Teline IV, there are multiple background logos — one for each color. When I click on any (except the default color-coordinated) sections (in Joomla 1.5) or root Category (in Joomla 1.6) Teline IV, the background logo I placed in the images did not work.
The background logo placed worked with Home, the default Section (or Root Category), as well as articles and the listings in teh Menu list found on the left column in the articles page.

January 24, 2011 at 3:54 pm #373490Thanks Mic,
That solved the issue!
I am just lost with the new format of Teline IV, and just installed my first one last week. It is so different from Teline II. The skeleton layout is nice, but it is so much like an aircraft carrier — very slow compared to Teline II.
The footer alone must require several dozen files just to write three lines.

January 25, 2011 at 8:44 am #373656Hi Cormelio,
Can you please confirm if the solution provided by Mic sets it right for you 🙂
It would be suggested to please start new relative forum topics for other questions or issues
Cheers

Hi aman204,
Yes he did, that is why I thanked him. I edited my original answer, accordingly. I use the Thank You button mainly to indicate the resolution of a problem I ask.
In my mind, I thought I even asked him a follow up question, if he might know where the script is, in regard the linking of the color logo, but it appears I did not also include that. I was very tired and sleepy when I responded to thank him.
In other cases, as a matter of courtesy, I usually thank people for responding to my post, unless we are already quite familiar. As a matter of courtesy also, I always include the name of the person to address them with some respect. It looks like you do the same. That is good.

</blockquote>I will do ss you request, if you and Joomlart staff would make good faith to answer my posts responses that do result to a resolution of the issue raised. And, since you raise the issue about new threads, let me re-post again, a very critical issue that I must have posted at least four times, the past two years, but never got resolved by Joomlart technical staff. It will be in the Feedback Forum since the issue affects a number of templates, not just the Teline series. It will be titled:
Hot Topic module
I shall keep faith that since you ask, as a Moderator, you will also shephered this request so that it will finally get resolved, in its third year of being asked here.
As it is, I posted so many questions in the Forums that I considered very important. Many of them remained unresolved. They are marked Answered, even if the only response does not really solve the issue raised. I am still waiting for resolution of a number of my posts here in the Teline IV forum.
I try to resolve the issues I encounter on my own. But, when I know the issue requires action from Joomlart technical staff, I post here.
I have been a member since 2007. I have helped a lot of members here, until I got sick the past few years. That is reflected in the number of “Thanks” that I got, only a portion of those I actually helped resolve their issues. I remember when I was quite active with the improvement of Teline II, there was a guy who I helped resolved his problem. It took me a week. I even installed a dummy site from scratch to recreate his problem. So that I could really give a correct answer. And, it did resolve the problem.
Such experiences from quite a number those I help did not quench my desire to help others because many also helped me here, mostly members not staff or Moderators (but there were other staff and Moderators who also helped resolved my issues.
But, the main reason why I was not as enthused posting the past two years (apart from my ailment) was as I pointed above, none of the major threads (tickets) I posted and considered very important ever got resolved.
One of them is the Hot Topic module. I even created a special website specifically to illustrate the problem encountered.

I will place my response, including the lists of unresolved (and resolved issues) in a Joomla Teline IV Joomla 1.6 (TEIV-J1.6) Sandbox site that I am creating, specifically to help me monitor the forum threads posted, including their resolution. It seems the existing policy is that if it is marked “Answered”, that is good enough, even if they are not resolved.
Such links in the Sandbox site would serve also to circumvent the forum threads being buried in the very active Teline IV forum.
One of the JOOM staff indicated interest to look at the installation and help resolve the more difficult issues relevant to TE IV-J1.6. I would be inviting other staff who were responding more constructively to my forum threads, if they would be interested to join in the endeavor. If you are interested, kindly let me know.

February 15, 2011 at 7:38 pm #376837I will try to do that aman. I am just overwhelmed right now. This happens whenever a new version of Teline arrives. From my exoerience with Teline II, that took more than three months after release before a more stable version was acceptable (still with quite a number of minor bugs but usable). At the time, there was a concerted effort from the Teline users, and the staff to report and resolve the bugs.
I am surprised not as many users seem to notice some of the bugs (eventually confirmed by some JOOM staff) that I reported.
In the meantime, you may click my username, and find original threads started. The first page should provide the list of relevant posts to Teline IV.

I started it last Sunday, but
