I change the parameter “Name of the site” in the back Office, but it has no effect.

Depending on your version of Joomla…

GOTO > MENU > MAIN MENU > HOME > PARAMETERS > PARAMETERS (SYSTEM) > PAGE TITLE

Did you make sure you saved your page after making the change?
And you’ve got it correct in the Configuration panel? Is this what you meant by <blockquote>

“Name of the site” in the back Office,”

SITE > GLOBAL CONFIGURATION > SITE > SITE NAME

Do you have an admin login?

The TITLE is entered correctly in your administrator area.
However the CONFIGURATION.PHP file is not writable…thus it can’t make the change.
Please make this file writable and you should be good to go.

I changed the rights.
I have got in this file what I want :
var $sitename = ‘3e millénaire – Spiritualité – Connaissance de soi – Non-dualité – Méditation’;
But It doesn’t change my title.
I clean the T3 cache.

I’m sorry but the file is still unwriteable.

An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!

I would also recommend you update your Joomla instance.

Perhaps, I missed something.

With the superadministrator user, I can change SITE > GLOBAL CONFIGURATION > SITE > SITE NAME
and it change the content of the CONFIGURATION.PHP file
