We asked for the fix mentioned here:

It says that it was patched in version 1.4.4, but we don’t see any to get that version. We tried using the JA Extensions Manager and pull updates from Joomlart, but that only found 1.4.3. Is there some way we can get the fix for the issue we’re having?

Till new version is released, please see if this solution I posted for another user helps you:
Try to change the router.php and see if this fixes this issue.

No, that patch didn’t do anything for me. Hopefully, 1.4.4 will be available soon so I can finally resolve this issue for our client. 🙂
