I can’t see in the module administrattion where you store or link to the thumbnails.

if this is about Ja-Slideshow module. then the resized images of the rotating banners can be found in the

/images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/

But the thumbnails are auto generated, you replace any of the banner a thumbnail is auto generated and placed in the above mentioned folder automatically.
