December 1, 2007 at 11:55 pm #233769Hi
There are no module styles for this template.
JA recycles the user guides and sometimes they miss little things.
I hope this helps.December 2, 2007 at 10:53 am #233781Thanks for you kind answer .
NOT a professional behavior considering that this is a template released upon payment of rights.
There are many others templates Companies that use more attention to related document releasing product.
Looking like a stupid for time to something not available but listed it a no nice condition.
Thanks again for your clear info.
Best always

December 2, 2007 at 2:18 pm #233782Actually other template company’s and busineses do the same thing. If the majority of the info from one document to the next does not need to be changed there is no need to rtype it.
For the most part JA is on top of the documentation, but mis-informatin sometimes creeps into the user guide. The people at JA are only human afterall.
If you know some small ammount of css you could easily create your own module styles.
Good luck with your site.December 7, 2007 at 8:52 pm #234122hy instantinlaw,
due your answer behavior I think I touch Your sensibility ! Indeed 😀
Just to tell you that if you check one time very well the document you deliver this make more sense than deliver something just to deliver it.
If I pay I expect to get a good service, not excellent, but reliable and please believe me that to compare the behavior of others it is not a correct comparison.
One point more is that I bought with pleasure, giving the difference with others that look only to get something for FREE, to use the efforts of some one to get advantage for FREE, but just in example I bought this JA Teline template expecting to can insert some Styles further, reading before the purchase the user guide, and now I haven’t this chance.
That’ s it Dear Friend .
Have a good day

December 7, 2007 at 10:10 pm #234125Hi Alinghy,
I agree that the documentation should be correct, and that it stinks that there are no module styles built into the template, but saying that you can’t have some module styling is not correct. You can add module styles from another template with some modification.
Here is the module style css from the xenia template.
/* Hilite Module */
div.module-hilite h3,
div.module-brick h3,
div.module-blue h3,
div.module-green h3 {
margin: 0 -3px 5px;
padding: 2px;
border-bottom: 3px solid #FFFFFF;
font-size: 1em;
color: #FFFFFF;
}
div.module-hilite,
div.module-brick,
div.module-blue,
div.module-green {
margin-bottom: 5px;
padding: 0;
float: left;
clear: both;
width: 100%;
background: url(../images/box-hilite-br.gif) no-repeat bottom right #F85703;
}
div.module-hilite div,
div.module-brick div,
div.module-blue div,
div.module-green div {
padding: 0;
background: url(../images/box-hilite-bl.gif) no-repeat bottom left;
}
div.module-hilite div div,
div.module-brick div div,
div.module-blue div div,
div.module-green div div {
padding: 0;
background: url(../images/box-hilite-tr.gif) no-repeat top right;
}
div.module-hilite div div div,
div.module-brick div div div,
div.module-blue div div div,
div.module-green div div div {
padding: 10px 15px 15px;
background: url(../images/box-hilite-tl.gif) no-repeat top left;
color: #FFFFFF;
}
div.module-hilite a,
div.module-hilite a:hover,
div.module-hilite a:active,
div.module-hilite a:focus {
color: #FFFFFF!important;
}
div.module-brick a,
div.module-brick a:hover,
div.module-brick a:active,
div.module-brick a:focus {

}
div.module-blue a,
div.module-blue a:hover,
div.module-blue a:active,
div.module-blue a:focus {
color: #FFFFFF!important;
}
div.module-green a,
div.module-green a:hover,
div.module-green a:active,
div.module-green a:focus {
color: #FFFFFF!important;
}
div.module-hilite li,
div.module-brick li,
div.module-blue li,
div.module-green li {
background-image: url(../images/bullet-list3.gif) !important;
}
/* Blue hilite */
div.module-blue {
background-image: url(../images/blue/box-hilite-br.gif);
background-color: #0264B0;
}
div.module-blue div {
background-image: url(../images/blue/box-hilite-bl.gif);
}
div.module-blue div div {
background-image: url(../images/blue/box-hilite-tr.gif);
}
div.module-blue div div div {
background-image: url(../images/blue/box-hilite-tl.gif);
}
/* Green hilite */
div.module-green {
background-image: url(../images/green/box-hilite-br.gif);
background-color: #4CA55E;
}
div.module-green div {
background-image: url(../images/green/box-hilite-bl.gif);
}
div.module-green div div {
background-image: url(../images/green/box-hilite-tr.gif);
}
div.module-green div div div {
background-image: url(../images/green/box-hilite-tl.gif);
}
You can insert this into your teline css and modify it to suit your needs. This gives you 3 diffrent styles to modify; brick, blue, and green.
You could start by removing the images and seeing what you get, then move on to the colors, etc.
JA provides a template with well documented css. If everyone kept the default look of the template the internet would be filled with cookie cutter websites, and who really wants that?
I have taken JA templates and modified them to the point that they barely resemble the original, and with some practice you can do the same.
As an example, here is JA Orlyra modified for a resturant. The only thing I kept was the notebook for the wrapper because it looked like a menu.
Here is another using JA iris that looks nothing like the original template. This site is still under construction and still has some modifications pending, but you get the idea.
If a JA template does not exactly fit your needs, get proactive, not reactive.
Give the css modifications a try and let us know what you come up with. Maybe you will be able to help out someone else that wants a module style for JA teline.
Good luck!December 15, 2007 at 12:37 pm #234628Dear Istantinlaw,
this is all another way to answer, I appreciate it, without any double sense . Thanks
This is the professional way to approach the market , not the one that consider the low behavior of other Companies to justify some fault ! The others are the others – This is Joomlart , The Company !
Leave low profile be the way of life for that Companies that today are on-line and tomorrow missing …somewhere.
I had the pleasure in my life to work for one of the most important Companies based in the USA, and that was a frame of my life that I remember with a very big big happy working experience .
Action, freedom to set up marketing strategies, extremely clear behavior with Customers in any business transaction, heavy professional skill, training , full support starting from the US President of this Company to the last employee, as a very big growing TEAM.
I am sure that you can understand me as you stay into USA, nice Country I had the pleasure to visit lot of times: please consider that Company was born 1969, starting with 3 guys and 2 secretaries and after 29 years the number ONE world wide for a specific business sector.
That’s the way to follow .
Many thanks for your support ,
I’ ll fee free to bother a little you more if necessary for some small
question about JA TelinePlease accept best whishes for Xmas time .
Regards
Alinghy :D:D:D (triple biggreen)

September 12, 2008 at 5:58 pm #270244I see everyone’s points.
it does seem to be a quality control issue. I wonder if they have a checklist that they review each template agianst before they are releases.
its OK if the templates don’t have a module style, but the docs need to be accurate so that the expections of a templates functionality can be met

First, what version are you using 1.5 or 1.0? These instructions are for the 1.0 series. But will probably work with the 1.5 template. You need to add one of the following to the module class suffix for the styles to show:
hilite,
brick,
blue,

September 13, 2008 at 8:35 am #270317Morning,
I tried with :
-hilite, _hilite, hilite
-brick, _brick, brick
-blue, _blue, blue
-green, _green, green
and few others strange solutions…Is it the random possibility (with hilite suffix) which leads to the problem ?
I guess the syntax is a little bit different between J1.0 et J1.5 ?!?Regards
