September 2, 2011 at 1:53 pm #168106Hi,
the Ja Travel page (http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates/ja-travel) still shows 1.6 version available, but when I go to the download area (click on 1.6), there are only 1.5 and 1.7 folders. I tried to install the 1.7 version to my Joomla 1.65 cause I thought it was compatible, but it isn´t. That´s really confusing in my point of view. Why isn´t the 1.6 version not available to download?
And no, I don´t want to update to 1.7 at this moment, I want the template that was available so far. And I checked the forum, but found no answer to that…
Best regards – Marco

September 2, 2011 at 2:13 pm #410249Joomla! 1.6 is no longer supported by the Joomla! Project, so any 1.6 templates have been made available for 1.7.
If there is a 1.7 template there it is 100% compatible with Joomla! 1.6marcoman Friendmarcoman

September 2, 2011 at 2:21 pm #410251Thanks for the quick reply. Then the problem isn´t the template, but something else. I´ll check that issue. Thanks again!

The Problem seems to be, that the installer-zip of Ja Travel seems to be messed up. I managed to install Ja Minisite, no problem, but the installation of Ja Travel doesn´t work. I played around with php.ini file and so on and now this … a defect installer package! >:(

I downloaded it again and tried to install it again. Doesn´t work. ALL other 1.7 templates work. So there must be a problem on the side of the developers of this f… template! I hope they´ll fix it very soon! >:(

Okay … I understand your frustration, my friend . . . I will test this issue out on my end as well and see if I can replicate the problem. If so, I will immediately submit a bug report to our JA Development Team. (Please bear in mind that as of the moment of my writing this message, the JA Dev Team is on a much-needed three-day holiday and will be returning by Sept 5).Do me a favor though – let’s keep even the abbreviated/implied four-letter explicatives in the back-alleu’s of Chicago where they belong, m’kay? 😎
