In your video there is a "new" button in the top left. See your video – I already set the video for you on 1 minute 56 seconds to see the button: https://youtu.be/t6W0bM0duS4?t=1m56s
In case you missed it by playing the video, here I highlighted the button:

That button is missing in my backend. What to do?

    Hi,

At this moment, JAEM supports 2 services: Local & JoomlArt only so that button doesn’t exist anymore.

Ok, thank you for your reply. I have extensions of yours and of other providers. What is the best way to check if there are updates available? Since this button is removed and other update services not allowed, is this extension not able to check for updates from extensions in common (not only Joomlart extensions)? Critical feature I would say. Without that feature, no safe Joomla installation…. everybody always says "update, update, update"… But let me know, perhaps I am wrong and missing something or you might have tips how to prevent to manually visit 20 different developer update websites to see if any of them has updates or is that not needed?

I am interested in your answer,

    thanks in advance

JAEM is mostly used for updating JA Products only. For the 3rd party extension, if you want to update other extensions, their developers must be willing to provide update services via JA Extension manager component. Here is the guide: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/wiki-ja-extension-manager/developer-guide#Service_Development_Steps

Thank you for the information. The link in step 1 of the guide is broken. Can you fix that? I would appreciate.

    Hi,

I just confirmed again with the team, unfortunately, JAEM supports to update JoomlArt products only, not 3rd party extension. The team will update the documentation again to avoid confusion. We are sorry for this.

    Regards
