Where is the showcase component? Is everything based on K2?

Note:

If you are installing quickstart package, It comes pre-built with specific extension so you will need to simply make changes as per your preference in configuration and not install in separately 🙂

Hi Charles,

JA Showcase component is part of Extension Club (JAEC) and is not available for download to Template club members. You can follow the demo link of JA Portfolio and generate your own demo (look at left side for button) and check the backend.

With JA Showcase, you can show your images from folder and add links. It supports linking with k2 articles and joomla articles. You can also edit the showcase inbuilt template for adding or modifying the fields.

Proceed to JA Extension Club Home Page.

Why would you add a component to the template that people can’t download or make any adjustment without having to join another joomlart club? Come on guys if the component is apart of a template then you should make it available to everyone that downloads the template and not ask them to buy it!

This is why alot of people of leaving Joomla, because every time you turn around developers are trying to nickel and dime users… And if the component is apart of the template where is the documents or settings guidelines to make adjustments?

That component is part of JAEC since its introduction 2 years back. Its part of the demo site. We also make templates for JomSocial / JA Comment, but we cant release JomSocial or other commercial extensions to JATC. You got to be considerate in your requests, we have over 30+ extensions only for the template club, which are complimentary and only few are part of JAEC club.

Compared with any other available club we got more for the template club guys than the extension club members. If we release everything with JATC, then what special privilege the Developer members or the JAEC members will have.

All the core extensions required for the template are part of the bundle and you can download the same.

The userguide for each product is part of its own forum. If you have access you can view the same.
