What method did you utilize to upload your template?

I use Extension Manager to located my zip folder (Quickstart) then Install it, when I did this nothing showed up. When I went back to Ext Manager to install the theme zip folder then my theme appeared. I select my theme to make default. Then view site is when I get the T3 error, am I missing something?

Are you wanting to install/integrate this template as part of your existing site ….
or is this to be a stand-alone/independent site?

I have a few articles added, this site is getting started, so I chose a theme I like to add to the site that I installed (Joomla 2.5), usually I just install the theme and select it, is there another step or two involve on this theme?

Joomla 2.5 was already installed when I found this Erio theme, so do I have to do a new Joomla 2.5 install? I see a folder with everything in it when I downloaded it but didn’t think I had to install Joomla core files again? Please let me know what the next step I should be taking to get this working. Thanks!

You don’t actually have to have Joomla installed first at all . . . you can (and should, in my opinion) utilize the quickstart installation pack – which installs Joomla for you. (In this case, J2.5)

THIS ARTICLE / TUTORIAL explains what I mean – as well as provides a step-by-step guide for uploading and installing your template utilizing the quickstart installation method.

    Hope That Helps

It sounds like I have to basically reinstalling the 2.5 that came with this theme? I have articles already created in my site. Will this overwrite it? I am concerned with having to reinstall this again with the them intact? Can’t I just install the them itself to my existing site that is already started?

Or do I just upload the files via FTP and overwrite my existing Joomla 2.5 directory? Will that make my articles disappear or remove them?

Well, yes …. if you wipe the slate clean and re-install via the quickstart installation, it will overwrite what you have now.

You CAN, of course, backup your database tables that contain your article content and, after you re-install the template (including setting up a new database), import/overwrite those tables within your new database structure.

Alrighty I had backed up my existing Joomla database and files, then did a clean install from the Quickstart folder (via FTP) and it is now installed. Now I’m ready to import my data from the other site, this will not overwrite your quickstart info pages/modules?

Well, you don’t want to overwrite ALL of the database files … only those associated with the content you entered previously.

Right, so I had created a new category rvls with everything under that for articles, how do I retrieve this with MySQL when I do import? that is all I care about.
