After some years I went back to Joomlart. Nothing changed when it comes to download templates etc!!!! Still looking for a needle in a haystack.

Today I got spammed with mails about the update for JA Intranet availible for EasySocial 2. As happy I was I wanted to download this latest version. But….when I check the download page…there is only the old version from November 2016. It’s almost Christmas, not Eastern. So I don’t think it’s the time of the year to hide eggs (templates).

So…guys from Joomlart, PLEASE fix it now, once and forever! And please give me a link to a page where I can download the latest version!

    Update:

It’s even worser!! Update from v1.0.1, not possible.

With the Joomla update manager: Error
    With Joomlart Extension manager: Error

Pffff, I regret my subscription. Really, the same problems as years ago!

    Hi,

First of all, we’re terribly sorry for the issue you faced. This problem has just occurred for some recent days, I’m sure about that. There is something wrong with the update server. The team is working on this server issue and fix it asap.

In the mean time, you can use ‘Local service’ method to update new version of template – another service beside JoomlArt Updates service. You can see which service is set as default via Service manager menu under JA Extension manager component (JAEM)

With this way, you can download new version of this template and manually upload to JA Repository in your server and update. Please check out this documentation for more info: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/wiki-ja-extension-manager/how-to#Checking_internal_repository

REMEMBER to make a full backup of your site before updating.

But that’s not working, because I need to download the latest template from your website first. And that is the point, the latest version on your website is 1.0.2. And that version is for EasySocial v1.X

So please give me a link where I can download the latest version from the template. After that I can manage myself. I even never use your JA Extension manager to install templates.

    Hi,

You can just simply access download section of JA Intranet template: https://www.joomlart.com/downloads/joomla-templates/ja-intranet/

and get the template package: http://prntscr.com/dfvr8w

Remember to backup site first before updating.

And let us know if you need further helps.

I think I already see what is causing the confusion. See attached picture. Here it shows clearly that the attached EasySocial theme is for version 1. When I check this file it’s indeed for version 1. But in the template files I found the EasySocial version 2 file. So you make it very confusing with just putting this file in the download section without any explanation. You also don’t mention it in your docs that there is a separate file for version 1. And most probably I am not the only one not knowing this, see this thread: https://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-intranet-v1-0-2-does-not-support-easysocial-1-4-12-properly/

Further you send out a mail and blog at 2 december, saying that THIS WEEK JA Intranet is updated for EasySocial 2. But actually it was already updated on November 17th, 2 weeks before! So not so strange that you should expect to see files from around 2 december and not 2 weeks before.

I think this is solved now, but I ask you to be more clear about updates, update your docs and maybe more clear in your blogs.

    Hi,

That’s much better, makes it more clear.
Maybe you better can put it in the 3rd Extensions Configuration section instead of the Upgrade instruction. Because people with an older version of EasySocial who do a clean installation will face the same problem.

    Thanks for making it clear!

We updated to the latest version and the template looks worst, i definitely dropped it and we are using now the Helix free template, just perfect without any bugs or conflicts.

    bye!
