August 28, 2013 at 2:26 pm #503789Hello,
For me it is fixed!
You need to set your editor to HTML.
Than copy the HTML code from addthis to you social module and it works fine.

August 28, 2013 at 2:44 pm #503791Hello chirohogen ๐
You mean this button in Editor: HTML?
If so, then after that (when i put code from addthis or demo code) nothing happens.
:((

August 28, 2013 at 6:14 pm #503813I’am sorry for the short explanation.
What you can do is login to https://www.addthis.com create an account and press โGet the codeโ -> follow buttons.
Then enter your facebook, Instagram, youtube etc account and you will see an code like this:<!– AddThis Follow BEGIN –>
<p>Follow Us</p>
<div class=”addthis_toolbox addthis_32x32_style addthis_default_style”>
<a class=”addthis_button_facebook_follow” addthis:userid=”chirhogen”></a>
<a class=”addthis_button_twitter_follow” addthis:userid=”chirhogen”></a>
<a class=”addthis_button_youtube_follow” addthis:userid=”chirhogen”></a>
<a class=”addthis_button_instagram_follow” addthis:userid=”chirhogen”></a>
</div>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-521d9d1c7b0be94a”></script>
<!– AddThis Follow END –>Paste this code with your HTML editor but change your editor in your website-settings. Donโt use the TinyMCE. Just use for once the basic editor. Just html code and save..
(donโt do such things with Chrome, firefox is the best)
I hope it works!Jasper

August 28, 2013 at 11:48 pm #503835Saguaros, thanks for the offer of help have sent you a PM. All the code offered above and guides work fine. I just find that after a couple of days the buttons vanish completely; without any work being done on the site.

August 29, 2013 at 1:51 am #503845As I mentioned in my previous reply, pls try to set Default Editor to None in global configuration and add follow code to the content of the Custom HTML module in social-link position:
<!-- AddThis Follow BEGIN -->
<div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_32x32_style addthis_default_style">
<a class="addthis_button_facebook_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_twitter_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_instagram_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_youtube_follow" addthis:userid="joomlart"></a>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=xa-51fbcd3a05926764"></script>
<!-- AddThis Follow END -->
Please go to backend settings of this module and change to your own addthis account.
Regards

August 29, 2013 at 2:50 am #503854Thanks but you have missed what I have been trying to explain. I ahve already done that and it worked for a couple of days then it all disappeared. I re did it and again it worked for a couple of days and then disappeared again. Hence you will see on my site the buttons are not there and the code has gone from the module.

August 29, 2013 at 7:32 am #503890Hi
This is weird issue, if you set TinyMCE is default editor, you can try to go Plugin manager > Open this Editor – TinyMCE plugin and remove all current element in Prohibited Elements field.

August 29, 2013 at 9:03 am #503906Do you open the module with a other editor without changing a thing? I tried to reproduce it and I can with chrome.
1) Without an editor copy your code -> works.
2) Open the module with an editor -> Save โ code = gone
3) redo step 1
4) Open the module with an editor -> close โ> html code gone.Chrome issue maybe? Did not happen with firefox..

August 31, 2013 at 3:50 am #504150I’ve got the code in there and it is showing up, but where does it pull the images it uses from? I only ask because on addthis, I added Pinterest, and there isn’t a picture for it. If you mouse over the last blank spot, it allows you to click for pinterest, but there isn’t a picture. Do I need to add a picture on the site map or does is it suppose to pull from addthis?
My site is http://www.evanspresents.com

September 3, 2013 at 4:32 pm #504428The simplest way is to change your editor settings to Editor-None. Than log out, log in again and copy paste the Add this text.
