October 24, 2011 at 5:02 pm #170003I know I have used this but cannot find it today … I am trying to have the option to select different types of articles (I think it is article but maybe not since I can’t find it now). For example I want a page that has some text on it but also a list of different categories of links with it’s sub categories visible – both internal & external links.
Where do I find this?
Thank you!

You can do these pages using typography options, look at the demo site in typography menu

October 24, 2011 at 5:55 pm #421284OK – I guess I just create a normal page and format it the way I want; but there is no way I could create menus to be placed inside the main content location?
Is there any way to place things inside the main-content location? I suppose I can put a form inside the main-content module just by putting it in the article.
I can just do what I want inside the main-content area by putting my code in the html box on the article?
I think I am getting it. There are no shortcuts.
Thanks! Again!

October 24, 2011 at 6:46 pm #421299I am still having a problem doing this.
I have a link to Law Library in the More Links Menu. Right now it is linked to a sample data page.
I have started the page as a Category Article with List of Links. I put some of my external links on it and saved it so far. But I cannot find how to see it on the site. I am trying to change the menu link to go to it but don’t know what the link is.
On the Admin page it lists an ID of 555. It also has a link there: index.php?option=com_content&view=categories&id=0
I tried using the path from joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=categories&id=555
and get a different page.
Question: How do I find the link of a page just created? Or should this be an article not a category?
Your help would be appreciated.
Maybe today is just not my day 🙁

<blockquote>Question: How do I find the link of a page just created?</blockquote>
You can add your page in a menu item then save and from your backend click on that menu item and in the browser address bar you will have the link
