I just joined the templates club and the extensions club. I have downland the JA Rule template and want to use it. But I cannot find the documentation anywhere, I’m probably missing it. Can someone please point me to the right place to find out:

I looked at the wiki and didn’t see this kind of information but maybe I’m missing it.

    1. If I want to use the quickstart, do I simply uninstall Joomly 1.6, then, copy up all the files, run through install to install both joomla 1.6 and ja rave at once (any special options to check/specify during installation?), then delete installation directory? Other?

    2. If I want to add the template and all its extensions and plug-ins to an existing joomla 1.6 installation, what extensions and plugs do I need (i don’t see ja comments, though I could get it as a member of extention club) and is there a particular order in which to install them for ja rave?

I do see some general T3 framework information in the wiki, which looks helpful, but I’m also particularly looking for this kind of “new to joomlaart and want to get going with your template” info. I’m here it’s here I’m missing it in some obvious location.

    Thanks!

    Hi billb,
    – I can’t see JA Rule in Download area, can you correct it?
    – If you want to need document for extension/template of Joomlart, you can search with keyword is extensioni/template name userguide. Example: teline userguide
1.You right, but you can keep joomla 1.6 and create JA Rave in your server. You just create new directory (Example: rave16) and copy all files/folders in quickstart.zip file to rave16 directory. Next, install JA Rave by http://localhost/rave16 (if you run localhost). Finally, detele installation directory
    2. You must install T3 Framework (download: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=361) FIRST. After install successfull, you can install any extensions/templates into your joomla

Okay, great. So, a normal install would be.

    1. Inst joomla 1.6
    2. Inst T3 framework
    3. Inst template as you describe below (ja rule in this case)
    4. Inst any extensions

    Thanks two follow-up questions:

    Q#1
Is installing with quick start as you describe below the only way to install a JA template into joomla?

    Q#2
Can I have muliple JA templates installed at once by installing them one at a time as you describe below (extract, run, delete installation dir)?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

For Q1, there are 2 cases. with each template, we do provide two installation packages:

    1. Quickstart package: This will help you to install a fresh joomla site with template and built in extensions as demo site. In order to do this way, please refer to our full documentation via to know more on how to install Joomla template quickstart and thousands of users have successfully got the exact site as sample demo.

    2. Template Installer package: if you have a joomla site already and you will install this package via your website admin and then create all contents from scratch and install extensions separately. In order to do this, we also provide the template user guide in respective forums as sticky threads (always on the top). You can check the JA Rave forum for detailed userguide and setup instructions:

For Q2: Yes, you could get muliple JA templates at once by installing them one at a time.

    Thanks.
