My team just want to add a few more block to the site, they did not know where to locate the php file , which connect the joomla and the data base?

Can I just add more content block via custom HTML module ?

Hi Pankaj Sharma,

My site was targeting southeast Asia. People just love "more" , rather than simplicity in west.
I want to make an app store similar home page like apkpure.com, which has several blocks in its home page such as " editors` pick", "Popular Games In Last 24 Hours" "Top New Free Games" and "Latest Update Games " . Each block has mutiple items in 4 or 5 rows.

My idea is to use customized HTML to build a module.

How ever, my teamate just did not konw how to quote the category , article . They check joomla folder and the codes, but could not find any hints that joomla quote the data to form the home page with the feature articles . They are good programmer, but just did not know the joomla structure.

It is a shame that I could not answer this qustion even after using joomla for almost 9 years.

Hi
If you want to use custom html module, you can create custom html module and apply the column classes to give them width.
Here: http://getbootstrap.com/css/#grid-options
If these are Joomla articles and you want to show the articles via module, i suggest you to use default Joomla articles category module, but you have to override a new layout to customise it like the image you needed.

Do you mean I need to create/override the php file in the folder joomla/template/Ja_moviemax/html/mod_articles_categories ?

I had little concept of "layout" ,

Hi
To create a new layout you have to create a new file
joomla/template/Ja_moviemax/html/mod_articles_category folder.
To take example you can take a look on our other templates that also used override layouts for articles category module.
