Hi,
I have set up JA Lead with the nautilus background. I have then installed Jukebox and GCalendar. Everything looks good on the fronpage but if you enter a page then the background goes white and the text is very light yellow and blue. You can actually not see the writing. What do I do to change the text colour or background colour. I think it would be best to change the back ground colour.

Thanks. Ruben

January 10, 2010 at 10:18 pm #328911You do understand how CSS web design works, don’t you? Sounds to me that you would simply have to find the appropriate CSS rule that corresponds to the text display you want to change, and then change the parameters accordingly.
January 11, 2010 at 7:16 am #328941I am amateur. I know how to install joomla, templates, modules, components, plugins etc. But when it comes to HTML and CSS its Greek to me. I am good at copy and paste solutions…
So if someone can point me in the right direction it would be good.

We all started out as amateurs knowing nothing. I have to be honest with you, though . . . YOU NEED TO LEARN at least the basics of CSS web design in order to work with Joomla based templates. JA tempaltes (or any other club’s templates) are meant to be modified and customized – else everyone’s websites would look the same and be unbelievably boring.
In addition to the MANY books that are out there, here are some web-based resources to help you get started . . .
http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_intro.asp
http://htmlhelp.com/reference/css/
http://www.utexas.edu/learn/css/

The time and effort you spend to learn NOW will save you hours and hours as you work with your Joomla based tempaltes – trust me.
