is there a way to get rid of this extra space? i searched the swli.php file and css could not find why it s adding this… anyone help me here?

Got it , if you check this in the template.css line 1523:
#ja-topsl div.moduletable {
margin-bottom:20px;
}
You can change it to the margin you want, or remove it. I also see that you dont have the pathway in use? If so you can delete this from the index.php file:
<div id="ja-pathwaywrap">
<div id="ja-pathway">

</div>
</div>
This will also give you a few px less white space. If you removed the php code you should have removed the above too.

tell me what does the pathway do and how should it be in use?

If you go to frontpage of the site you usually dont see it,but if you go link by link you get a string like this:
home>content1>content2>content3 etc. So its all up to you if you wanna use it or not.
