March 31, 2008 at 11:17 pm #127114This may have been asked/answered at some point in the past, but since I don’t ever recall seeing it, aI’ll ask the question . . .
WHO ARE the JA template developers?
Is it Hung? Is it Menalto? Is there a Team of Developers we don’t know about?
I’m just curious because, unless it is Hung, Menalto or someone we know here on the Forum, it kind of seems like the JA developers are kept in a secret vault – away from any/all communication/question from members.
So, does anyone know who the actual JA template masters/programmers are?

March 31, 2008 at 11:21 pm #243820I’ve been here over a year and STILL haven’t managed to meet all of the developers. I can tell you that there are seperate people for seperate jobs (html guys, css guys, php guys, photoshop guys, etc).
They are all members on the forum and some have posted before 🙂

April 1, 2008 at 1:56 am #243824I just think it would be great if some of these guys communicated a bit more openly on the Forum . . . not as in any kind of set commitment or anything, but at least a bit more visible – especially within the “request/wishlist” section – since they are the guys who develop the templates.

April 1, 2008 at 6:46 am #243871The reason they don’t write so much in the forum is generally their lack of english skills.;)

April 1, 2008 at 1:15 pm #243920Ahhhhhhhhh … Well, I suppose that’s understandable.
I guess I was just thinking that if the developers tried to communicate a bit more amongst the members, various questions could be asked/answered with regard to how the templates are designed/programmed – as well as the possibility/difficulty related to various features members have been requesting.
I’m actually surprised that Hung hasn’t brought you on, Menalto, as one of his developers.
You’re one of the most php/css/joomla knowledgeable people I know.April 1, 2008 at 3:36 pm #243945I agree with tcraw1010.
Menalto has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful with complex template issues such as merging different parts of templates with each other and getting older joomlart modules to work with new Joomlart templates.
I am not sure how the Joomlart structure works but Menalto should get a promotion. 🙂

April 1, 2008 at 4:09 pm #243951One thing I was just thinking about . . . What happened to the JA Extension Club?
Has the JA Team given up on developing extensions altogether? Not to speak for him . . . . but in knowing Menalto and how skilled he is in php and joomla development, it seems to me that something like this might be something that Hung and the JA Team might look into strongly considering — having Menalto develop specialty extensions for JA.
Of course, proper compensation for such work goes without question.
I know a lot of us tout praises for Menalto quite often … but the fact of the matter is that he is very knowledgable and skilled in working with php, css and joomla. I also know that he has, himself, developed innovative extensions/templates.
He is also one of the most responsive JA Team Members on these forums – which is definitely a plus.

April 3, 2008 at 6:43 am #244186Since, I have positive experience with Menalto, and since he has knowledge, my sincere vote goes to him.
It’s more than a right moment for JA to employ someone who is willing to deal with all problems.
