July 30, 2012 at 3:51 am #179494I am trying to use content-top or middle.content-bottom. They are not in the list of position drop-down list, so I typed them and nothing is displayed, why?
If I use ?tp=1 I can see them there right below content, so why is that I can’t use them or why is not displayed?
(No you can’t access the web site, it is not in internet , it is in my computer.)

July 31, 2012 at 2:21 pm #462719No, in the demo you are using “content-mass_bot”. You are not using “content-top” or “content-bot”. I tried on the quickinstall and nothing is displayed in those 2 areas. They don’t appear in the drop-down list and if you type them they don’t display anything.

August 1, 2012 at 2:59 am #462766Hi madelman2012,
Each template, we are using position modules different. It dependent designer. If you want other position, you can add it in template. You can go to template manager, move to tab “Layout”, then with layout default, you can add new block. See images for details:
With new block you add, you can include position you need using.
<?php if ($this->countModules (‘content-top’)): ?>
<jdoc:include type=”module” name=”content-top” />
<?php endif ?>
Thanks
