I’m growing incredibly frustrated of your JAT3 guys!!! It is close to impossible to do any customization! Also the wiki is not updated (there is no frontpage in t3 plugin folder, therefore no way of finding what is needed for customization as show on the wiki).
I do not know what to do. I’m tempted to go back to regular joomla framework. I’ll spend couple more nights over jat3 and then I’ll waist no more time with it. If you could focus my attention on something helpful, please do so.
I guess jat3 has it’s meaning, but instead of making things easy I’m facing real challenge of waisting time with beautiful templates you are creating. You are going to say that jat3 is a part of that process, but come on, it is way too complex????!!!!
Anyway. I still love what you are doing, but I’ll have to move on pretty soon.
Really sorry for this, but I’m fed up!

September 11, 2011 at 3:51 am #411971Hi slavonec,
I a sorry to hear you find T3 frustrating. Sometimes, when learning a new way there is a learning curve involved. You have to experience trials and errors before you can become good and successful. Everything will start off uncertain or difficult, but mistakes and failures at anything one does will enhance your knowledge, skills and resolve in order to attain a positive goal in the end.
I remember when I first started with Joomla and such easy things to others seemed so frustrating to me!
I hope that this overview will help you to make more sense of the T3 framework.
There are some more detailed links to follow at the bottom of that overview.
There is also a much more detailed WIKI here.
And finally, a Framework Guide may also help you to sort T3 better.
Remember, ‘Failure is the mother of success’.1 user says Thank You to Blaine for this useful post

What elements, specifically, are you having difficulty with?Which template are you working with?
Have you posted questions about issues you are facing withing the respective template’s Forum section?
Do you use a web development tool (such as Firebug in FireFox) to assist you in identifying various elements within the page you’re working on?
September 12, 2011 at 3:18 am #412084Hi TomC.
For a start the template is JA Ores!
Firebug is a must to me. I also use Stylbot for chrome. Just in case.
Since now I did not have any trouble customizing JA templates to fit my needs.
I would never bother you for a small problem. When was the last time you saw my name in the forum.
And if the patience is longer than 3 days I would say that the stubbornness is getting on way of having things done in time. Well, It may be just me.
When elements are buried deep down bellow multiple long folder structure it is hard to make customizations.
I have followed the tutorials – video and written, and so far “0”. I guess I’ll have to learn more.
In a meantime I will have to change my strategy and rethink which framework to follow, so I do work faster.
Thank you for your help
