    Hello,

I’m running into some issues with the Article options hierarchy.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if I leave all the the Global Article Options as default except to Show “Author” and “Publish Date,” if I then go into 4 particular articles and set the individual Article Options for that article to Hide these two elements, shouldn’t they be hidden in those 4 articles?

What I’m trying to do is have 4 articles have everything hidden (Author, Category, Dates, etc), but make it possible to have all new articles created from here on out automatically have the Author and Publish date show.

How would I go about doing this? Don’t individual Article Options override the Global Article Options?

    UPDATE:
I’m also finding that the same trend is in effect with the reverse. If the Global Options are set to Hide, the individual Article Option setting of Show does nothing.

    UPDATE #2:
During my troubleshooting, I’ve set the Global Article options to Hide everything, but all new articles I created with default options are showing the article category for some reason. Only the articles that came with the demo content are inheriting the Global Options (though not completely). No new articles are affected by the Global settings.

    This is a major issue.

    Thanks
