The Fixel template is totally broken when you create a menu item with subcategory in JOOMSHOPPING.
    :((>:(:((>:(IT IS CAUSED BY THE TABLE-BASED TEMPLATE:((>:(
It seems to be chaotic that OUR JS is Version 4.3.1 Pro while in their release history we cannot find any “PRO” but there are some newer ones as 4.3.2, 4.3.3, 4.4.0.
I tried to discuss or get help with the issue here but it is frozen 🙁

Morover it looks like that it started abut two years ago 😮
“we are working hard this year to provide better support & products… a new theme will be out soon for joomshopping I’m told”

    So ancient issue!
Am I the only who use this template and JS?
Am I the only who need to show subcategories in the shop?
    So sad.:((

    @palosutca,

I would like to clarify your concerns below:

    – First, on JA Fixel J3.x template our development team tried to use the default layout with <table> tags of Joomshopping component v4.4 within our override template while the default template of Joomshopping version does not support the responsive table-based elements.

However, it is quite weird when we get the template layout issue after creating a menu item with sub-category of this component. I tried to follow the same steps you mentioned, but unfortunately I could not reproduce such issue on our Fixel demo.

If you can PM me the admin login of your website, I will take a look and give you a suitable solution in this case.

    – Second, the JS of JS v4.3.1 you are using is not listed in this component release history page, I think you can raise a question on this component forum to get better explanation from its developers.

    Hi Leo,
    PM sent

As the problem is the same as in your Demo Builder – I checked it at its admin site too – we may agree that it is not my specific issue. :((

    If you go to
Menu Manager > Edit Menu Item > Menu Item Type
    and select
JoomShopping > Categories Main page of shop (list of root categories) or single category
HERE we get the first fault as it shows not but [Products] after confirmation.

Ok, lets continue and believe we are on the right way …and pick the next dropdown titled as

It lists a lot of unnecessary options for our purpose, except for
Pick the next fill in titled as

This one the last usable option for our purpose where we can type the number of
(only God knows why we cannot choose it from a dropdown list)

I can reproduce your Shop Menu Item where all the JS products listed.
I can reproduce your All Categories Sub Menu Item where all the level1 JS categories listed.
But I cannot reproduce your All Categories Sub Menu Item where any other chosen lower (level2, level3, etc…) JS categories listed. I cannot reproduce while this template (php) uses totally different layout what based on tables.

It would be so simply :((
I would like to choose a category from a dropdown menu -mentioned above- as usual.
…or at least use the SAME LAYOUT what All categories has for any (sub)categories.
So I think the category_default.php at …/components/com_jshopping/templates/fixel/category Is faulty and believe that it would take some minutes for a talented coder to implement some rows or mirror the content in it.
    Thank you in advance!

Solved! (hmmm, I am not a coder) 😎
Just copy the content of maincategory.php
I still reserve my thoughts that JS is faulty and negligent coded.
…and sad but this part of the template is also faulty.

    Hi Palosutca,
What content did you copy exactly?
