I’m new to JoomlArt, and was surprised to see that I could not simply add the URL to my Facebook & Twitter accounts, in order to have Social links on JA Focus. Why is it necessary to create an account with an external service for such a simple task? This isn’t a requirement with other template services that I use.

Hi
if you are using the social share it needs an account to use the service.
We used Addthis as its free and widely used If you want to use any other social buttons on the site, you can use them via custom html module. Also if you had an account you can also track you social share details.
