June 15, 2009 at 2:14 pm #141937Hello,
Joomla 5.11 here. Played with Ja_Beryl in wamp environment – perfect. Uploaded to server – BLANK screen. What is going on? Can you please help?

By The way, Ja_Sargas doesn’t work, but Ja_Purity works – what would be the problem?

June 15, 2009 at 3:21 pm #307988most likely a php error but you have reporting disabled. Enable reporting and post what the error is.

June 16, 2009 at 1:09 pm #308082NO, unfortunately had to resort to Ja Purity – that was THE ONLY template that worked. Bummer.

June 16, 2009 at 3:29 pm #308095Did you enable error reporting?
Admin>Global Configuration>System>Error Reporting>Maximum
I can assure you the template works!
September 7, 2009 at 3:05 pm #316697Unless ‘PHP Error’ means poor PHP design from the module developers, this problem has nothing to do with a ‘PHP Error’ or your error reporting levels
For anyone else that has this issue, check that your images/stories/slideshow directory has the exact same number of images in it as you have descriptions in your slideshow module. The module generates the slideshow from the number of images in the directory, not from the amount of descriptions you specified in the module.
The reason why it does this is beyond me as it will only cause blank windows and confusion if you have more or less images than corresponding description, but that was their development methodology.

Hi strongabs, a blank screen in Joomla is indeed the result of a PHP error. This is not my opinion or a wild guess. This is a fact. The reason the screen is blank is because, as a security measure, the report is set to not display. If you turn error reporting ON then the screen won’t be blank anymore.
If you actually took the time to read the post correct you would see that the poster had problems with MANY templates… not just Beryl.
